SELFROUTE GUIDES
Import your delivery list. Get every stop ready.
By the SelfRoute team at Lion Adv, Inc. · Updated October 18, 2026
SelfRoute helps Tesla drivers turn delivery addresses into an ordered route on iPhone. Paste a list or import it from compatible delivery software, arrange the stops, then send each destination to the vehicle’s navigation when you are ready.
Already have the addresses in a spreadsheet, ChatGPT, or Claude? Copy and paste one full address per line. Compatible software can import through the SelfRoute API. For direct AI imports, see the local MCP developer preview. Review your list before sending each next destination to Tesla.
How do you plan a delivery run?
- Prepare a list with one complete address per stop, including city and postal code.
- Paste the list into SelfRoute or import it through your dispatch software’s integration.
- Review the addresses and arrange the delivery sequence. Keep promised delivery windows in mind.
- Send the first destination while parked. Use the vehicle’s navigation for that leg.
- At each stop, mark it complete and send the next. Your remaining deliveries stay in the app.
Can delivery software send routes directly to SelfRoute?
Yes, when that software can call an HTTPS API directly or through an automation tool. A server or generic HTTP step in Make, n8n, or Zapier can create routes in your SelfRoute account. The route appears under Saved routes for review. This requires integration setup; SelfRoute does not currently offer a native connector for every delivery platform.
An import can contain up to 10 routes and 500 total stops per request. Use a scoped API key and an idempotency key to avoid duplicate imports when retrying. Keep credentials on your server or in your automation tool’s protected credential store. See the route import API documentation for request examples and limits.
Will route optimization respect delivery time windows?
SelfRoute proposes a driving-time-based order for routes with 3–20 stops. It is not a delivery scheduling engine: do not assume it honors appointment windows, parcel capacity, driver shifts, or proof-of-delivery requirements. Review the proposed order and keep a manual sequence when customer commitments matter more than driving time.
What happens with a larger delivery list?
You can manually arrange up to 500 stops. Sending is still one destination at a time, not a bulk installation of 500 destinations into Tesla. Imported routes do not trigger a vehicle command automatically. The driver chooses when to send each stop.
What should stay in your delivery platform?
Keep dispatch assignment, customer messaging, parcel tracking, signatures, and delivery evidence in your existing operational software. SelfRoute handles address planning and destination sending. Marking a stop complete in SelfRoute records route progress; it is not proof that a parcel was delivered.
How does charging fit into the day?
Check range and charging needs in Tesla’s navigation. SelfRoute’s stop ordering is not an energy or charging optimization service. Read the Tesla route planning guide for the difference between planning an address list and navigating each leg.
