Copy the full addresses from your conversation. In SelfRoute, choose Bulk import and paste one address per line without bullets, numbering, or commentary. Review the stops, then send each destination to Tesla with one tap. This copy-and-paste workflow does not require an MCP connection.
Direct MCP import: developer preview
- Give your AI client the delivery, showing, or appointment addresses you want to use.
- Review the list and authorize the client to import it into SelfRoute.
- The MCP tool calls the route import API with your dedicated SelfRoute key.
- After the API confirms success, open Saved routes on iPhone. Review the route and send each destination to Tesla yourself.
Which clients can connect?

Connect a local MCP client
- Download and unzip the package. Install Node.js 22 or later.
- Run
npm ci --ignore-scriptsandnpm run buildinside the server directory. - Create a dedicated key under SelfRoute Settings → Software & AI connections (CRM & API in earlier builds). Keep the key out of chat.
- Configure your client to run
node /absolute/path/to/dist/index.jswithSELFROUTE_API_KEYin its protected configuration. The included README has the full configuration. - Restart the client and check that the SelfRoute tools are listed.
Available tools
selfroute_import_routes creates up to 10 routes with 500 total stops per request. It preserves the address order and returns route IDs only after API confirmation. Reuse the same idempotency key and content when retrying.
selfroute_get_imported_route reads progress for a route created with the same API key. It cannot read unrelated saved routes. An accepted destination is not proof of arrival.

What the connection does not do
MCP imports addresses into the app. It does not geocode or verify them, optimize the route, activate FSD, or send commands to a car. The driver remains in control of each destination send. Address data is sent to SelfRoute when you authorize an import; use your AI client’s permission controls and only import information you are allowed to share.
